FaceMagic Alternative: Live Face Swap for Calls, Plus Video Messages
FaceMagic makes fun recorded swaps on your phone. If you want your new face live on a call, or birthday video messages on the web, here's the alternative.
What FaceMagic does well
FaceMagic is a phone app for recorded face swaps: pick a video, photo or GIF, add a face, share the result. It's built for TikTok-style edits. Pricing, from its store listings: $9.99 a month or $39.99 a year, with a free tier of a few watermarked swaps a day.
What it doesn't do
- No live face swap. You can't use it on a WhatsApp, Zoom or Teams call, or a livestream.
- Phone only. No desktop or webcam workflow.
FaceLive covers both
- Live: in the FaceLive studio, your face changes in real time. On Windows, FaceLive Camera for Windows puts it straight into face swap on WhatsApp and face swap on Zoom calls.
- Recorded: FaceLive Create makes Video Messages (birthday wishes and congratulations as a character), Swap Your Video for your own clips, and Animate a Photo for old photos.
- Clean paid output: paid plans have no watermark; free tries carry a small FaceLive mark.
